Street vending ticket machines

The street vending machines were purchased במסגרת the EU-funded project “Modernization of Public Transport in Sibiu Municipality.” They replaced the old street machines, which were taken out of service starting March 1, 2023.

A total of 24 new machines have been installed in 12 stations to support passengers and provide more options for purchasing travel tickets.

In addition to buying tickets, the machines also allow you to reload existing Tursib cards with travel titles (including full-price subscriptions).

To make purchasing easier, the machines accept both cash and bank card payments. Detailed instructions for use are displayed on each machine.

IMPORTANT:

  • Street machines do NOT allow loading discounted or free subscriptions.
  • To reload a PVC Tursib card: Select “Reload Tursib card”, Insert the PVC card into the reader, Choose the desired travel ticket
  • Machines on the green line allow purchasing ONLY 60-minute internal tickets.
  • Machines on Tursib coaches allow purchasing ONLY tickets for route 22 (Sibiu – Păltiniș).
  • The machine at the Airport Terminal station allows purchasing ONLY 60-minute internal tickets.

Starting from June 2024, Tursib buses on route 22 are equipped with ticket machines for Păltiniș. These issue:
• Păltiniș one-way ticket – 12 lei
• Păltiniș round-trip ticket – 20 lei
• Bicycle ticket – 21 lei

Steps to follow for purchasing tickets from the ticket machine on Route 22:

  • Step 1: Select the desired ticket option (from buttons A, B, C);
  • Step 2: Insert 1, 5, or 10 lei banknotes;
  • Step 3: Take the ticket;
  • Step 4: Take the change;
  • Step 5: Validate the ticket at the orange device.

Starting from July 2024, considering the establishment of a new station at Sibiu International Airport, a ticket vending machine has been installed that allows the purchase of 60-minute urban tickets. This machine accepts only cash payments; for card payments, other purchase channels are available (contactless devices on buses, the SibiuBus mobile app, the 24Pay mobile app, Tursib agencies, partners, or vending machines at other Tursib stations).

Steps to purchase tickets from the vending machine at the Airport:

  • Step 1: Select the language;
  • Step 2: Select the number of tickets (using the buttons numbered 1, 2, 3, 4);
  • Step 3: Insert banknotes of 1, 5, or 10 lei or coins of 50 bani;
  • Step 4: Take the ticket;
  • Step 5: Take the change;
  • Step 6: Validate the ticket immediately after boarding the bus using the orange validators in the bus.
